$60K in special education grants coming to local schools
The Slippery Rock Area School District and two other local educational institutions will receive nearly $60,000 combined in grants.
Rep. Tim Bonner, R-17th, announced Monday, July 22, that three grants have been awarded to the local schools for developing or expanding experiential learning opportunities for secondary and postsecondary students to learn about and work with students with disabilities.
The recipients are Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV, $20,000; Slippery Rock Area School District, $19,982; and Slippery Rock University, $19,920.
