Rally gunshot victim released from Allegheny General Hospital
David Dutch, the 57-year-old New Kensington man injured at the July 13 rally for former President Donald Trump, has been discharged from Allegheny General Hospital as of Wednesday afternoon, July 24.
A news release sent Wednesday evening by Allegheny Health Network said James Copenhaver, the 74-year-old from Moon Township who also sustained injuries from the same incident at the rally, remains in stable but serious condition.
Corey Comperatore, a father and former Buffalo Township fire chief who attended the rally, was killed by 20-year-old suspected shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, of Bethel Park. Trump also suffered an ear injury that was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital.
The two injured rally-goers were transported from the Butler Farm Show grounds to the hospital by medical helicopters July 13, in critical condition. The next day state police said both patients were in serious condition.
