Carol Godot

Godot

Carol Godot, 66, of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.

She was born in Butler on Jan. 1, 1958, to the late John and Genevieve (Otremsky) Zach.

Carol graduated from Butler High School in 1975. After high school, she was a former member of the CDOFA and was employed in human resources at Montgomery Ward, then became a store manager at Fashion Bug. After Fashion Bug, Carol was employed in the HR department. She got her real estate license and sold apartment condos. Carol then sold real estate for Ed Shields Realty and started working for Prudential Insurance in Butler. She then joined Concordia Lutheran Ministries as a patient intake insurance specialist.

Carol believed in physical fitness and started her own gym and workout center. The women’s workout center had gym equipment and held Zumba classes, which Carol taught. She spent her life loving and caring for all those around her. She would light up the room as soon as she walked in with her infectious smile. Carol loved the outdoors and traveling — but she loved her family the most.

Carol is survived by her husband, Robert Godot, whom she married on July 1, 1994; her son, Travis; two brothers, Kenneth (Linda) and Thomas “Jimmie”; Heather, Jason, Ryan (Nicole), Amanda (Garrett); Abbigail, Ashlen, Amia Linn, Adalynn, Avianna, Arron, Drake, Jaxson, Jenna, Kirisa, Khloe, Raevin and Tyler; numerous nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
