Retired Seneca Valley School Board member receives award

Randy Hart

JACKSON TWP — Seneca Valley School District announced in a Wednesday news release that retired school board member and 1970 Seneca Valley High School alumnus, Randy Hart, is the recipient of the Pennsylvania Principals Association’s Service to Children Award.

The award honors organizations, groups or individuals who have made a significant positive impact on Pennsylvania’s elementary, middle and high school students.

Hart, a former educator and Zelienople resident, supported the district with education enrichment, beautification projects and natural trails for student exploration.

“I am overwhelmed and honored,” said Hart of receiving the award.

“This year marks 50 years since I first stepped into a classroom as a young teacher, and 18 years since my retirement,” he said. “I continue to share my educational experiences to support the next generation of educators.”
