Stilts

William “Bill” F. Stilts Sr., 89, of Harmony, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, while under the care of Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born April 12, 1935, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late John F. and Lida (Thomas) Stilts.

Bill was a man with much character. He served honorably in the Marines. He had an affinity for hunting, fishing and NASCAR, and was part of the Zelienople Sportsman Club for many years. Above all, Bill was a family man who loved his family with all his heart!

Bill leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Carol (Thorhauer) Stilts; his children, Cherrie (Tom) Peffer, Mark (Beverly) Stilts and Bonnie (Shane) Getsay; his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Flo, Lida and Margaret (Bob).

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his son, Michael “Mike” Stilts.

STILTS — Family and friends of William “Bill” F. Stilts Sr., who died Friday, July 26, 2024, will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

Bill will be laid to rest at Pinewood Memorial Park.
