Butler Colt knocked out in semifinals by Seneca Valley North
Butler Colt fell 5-2 in eight innings to Seneca Valley North on Monday despite out-hitting them eight to seven.
Ryan Collins and Jake Kollinger, who trippled, each collected two hits for Butler Colt. One of Kollinger's hits was a triple.
Butler Colt opened the scoring in the third after an error scored one run. Then a sacrifice fly by Levi McClellan gave them a 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth.
Seneca Valley North tied it an inning later, then scored three runs in the eighth of an RBI single and error to advance to the league championship.
Jake Szebalskie started on the mound for Butler Colt and gave up five hits and two runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out six and walking two.
