Police reports
The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts.
July 13 — Ronald A. Boxx, 50, of Rochester, New York, lost control of a U-Haul box truck while traveling south on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. The truck went off the east side of the highway, crossed both lanes and hit the guardrail on the west side before flipping onto its right side. He was taken to a hospital with a suspected minor injury.
July 10 — A vehicle driven by Ronald G. Bowser II, 50, of Butler, was rear-ended at the intersection of North Pike Road and Winfield Road in Jefferson Township by a car driven by a known driver who fled the scene. No injuries were reported.
July 16 — Jakob Wilson, 25, of Beverly, Mass., was taken by ambulance to Allegheny General Hospital with suspected serious injuries after the vehicle he was driving north in the right lane of Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township traveled onto the right shoulder, crossed both northbound lanes, hit and went over a guardrail, traveled into a wooded area, hit a tree and landed on the passenger side. His passenger, Kitari J. Johnson, 36, of Pittsburgh had a suspected minor injury. The Portersville, Harmony and Cranberry Township volunteer fire departments and Harmony EMS also responded to the crash.
July 13 — A motorcycle driven by David A. Fisher, 49, of Slippery Rock, struck a deer while he was traveling west on Route 58, in Allegheny Township. He had a minor injury and the motorcycle had minor damages.
July 18 — Two Cabot residents, a 42-year-old man and 41-year-old woman, were charged with harassment after police responded to a report of an altercation on North Pike Road in Jefferson Township.
July 19 — The driver of a 2018 Chevrolet Trax struck a deer while the vehicle was traveling south on Centerville Pike in Brady Township. No injuries were reported.
July 17 — The driver of a 2009 Honda Civic hit a puddle of water while driving north on Muddy Creek Road in Brady Township, lost control of the car and hit a mailbox and fence. No injuries were reported.
July 16 — A PennDOT vehicle trick driven by Lexi A. Doerflinger, 19, of Slippery Rock stuck a pickup truck in the parking lot Long John Silvers in Moraine Pointe Plaza in Butler Township. No injuries were reported.
July 9 — A vehicle driven by Brian C. Lenkerd, 53, of Reynoldsville was struck by a rock allegedly thrown by another vehicle while they were traveling south on I-79 in Cranberry Township. No injuries were reported. Police didn’t identify the driver of the other vehicle.
July 20 — A car traveling south on I-79 in worth Township traveled into the median when the driver began to fall asleep. No injuries were reported. Police didn’t identify the driver.
July 28 — A pickup truck driven by Devan W. Irvin, 28, of Johnstown struck a guard rail along Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township. No injuries were reported.
July 14 — A Chevrolet Silverado ran a red light at the intersection of North Pike and Winfield roads in Winfield Township and struck a Dodge Neon. The truck was towed. Police didn’t identify either driver.
July 26 — A vehicle driven by Sandra Greenert, 77, of Saxonburg was traveling east on Greenwood Drive when she struck a northbound vehicle driven by Garrett Miller, 31, of Butler. Miller’s vehicle hit a guard rail, went airborne and landed in a ditch. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed.
July 26 — A car driven by Brendan Thomas, 31 of Butler rear ended a car driven by Melissa Sub, 62, of Butler while both were traveling west on Route 68 near Barracks Road. No injuries were reported. Thomas’s vehicle was towed.
