Coroners: Trump rally shooter died of gunshot wound
Thomas Matthew Crooks, the man who opened fire during former President Donald Trump’s rally at the Butler Farm Show grounds on July 13, died of a “gunshot wound to the head,” according to the Butler County coroner.
A coroner’s report released Friday morning, Aug. 2, lists Crooks’ manner of death as homicide.
Crooks was shot and killed by a Secret Service counter-sniper, but not before he fired off eight bullets, killing one spectator, injuring two others, and grazing Trump’s right ear.
