The East Brady Area Development Corporation has announced the winners of its first beautification contest.

In the residential category, Peggy Wimer won, Kay and Bill Johns were second, and honorable mentions went to Sheila and Bill Markel, Dane and Angel Potts, Carolyn and John Olszak, Rita Welton, and Michele and Vince Bartoe.

In the business/church/public property category, Hufnagle won, Allegheny Hills Retirement Residence was second, and honorable mentions went to East Brady Methodist Church, East Brady First Presbyterian Church, Uni-Mart and St. Eusebius Cemetery.

Winners received a “beautification awardee” yard sign with their name on it, an East Brady mug, a certificate and a lifetime East Brady Area Development Corporation membership. Awards were presented Saturday, Aug. 3, at the EBADC’s 70th anniversary Community Picnic at East Brady Riverfront Park.
