The Route 228 corridor has a new restaurant in town.

Speer’s Steakhouse opened in late July at 100 Adams Shoppes in Adams Township, with a menu featuring items such as USDA prime steaks, Krobuta pork chops, farm chicken, duck breast and gnocchi carbonara.

The site formally housed Double Wide Grill, which closed in 2019, and Italian restaurant Spello, which closed in 2022.

The steakhouse’s lunchtime hours are from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and its dinnertime hours are from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

On Sunday, Speer’s is closed for dinner, but offers brunch from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
