Roy Dawson

Roy A. Dawson, 72, of Saxonburg, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024, at his home.

Born Oct. 6, 1951, in Tarentum, he was the son of Charles R. Dawson and Dorothy Berz Dawson Acre.

Roy worked in the maintenance department at Freeport Brick and also at Holbein Inc. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool and fixing cars.

Surviving are his wife, Luella (Vild) Dawson, whom he married May 3, 1975; his daughter, Kathy Dawson Bruno of Saxonburg; his son, Ralph A. Dawson of Saxonburg; three brothers, Edward (Kathy) Dawson of Valencia, James (Margie) Dawson of Rimersburg and John (Michelle) Dawson of Saxonburg; two sisters, Elma Sutej of Saxonburg and Martha (Bob Browne) Bowser of Butler; and his grandsons, Eric J. Bruno Jr. and William J. Little III.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

DAWSON — Friends of Roy A. Dawson, who died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024, will be received from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Brian Bocian officiating.

Interment will follow at Mount Airy Cemetery.
