Dale R. Haskins, 63, of Zelienople, was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment following an alleged fight on July 31 with his son in their home.

Jackson Township police said Haskins’ son reported his father began yelling at him and grabbed a .22-caliber rifle when he came home at 7:10 p.m. that day. After fighting over the gun, his son said he wrestled the gun from his father and threw it outside into the yard, where police said they found it unloaded.

Police said Haskin’s son reported the gun was not pointed at him, and he had bruising on his left arm, a bloody scrape on his upper right shoulder and red marks on his chest.
