Seven Fields celebrates community with 8th annual Food Truck Nights
SEVEN FIELDS — The eighth annual edition of Food Truck Nights has grown into quite the hit among borough residents and the surrounding community.
Seven Fields welcomes 15 to 17 specialty food vendors and books live entertainment from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Wednesday evening in August.
“It was an idea council members devised,” said Borough Manager Tom Smith. “In addition to the carnival and fireworks, we thought this would be good way to bring in other folks from the community to showcase Seven Fields. It has grown every year.”
The council had to search for new vendors when the event first kicked off. Now, the parking lot around Seven Fields Municipal Park is packed with a wide variety of food trucks from the region.
“The competition is pretty fierce,” Smith said of requests from vendors to participate. “We don’t want it to be too large, but we want to be large enough that it’s an attraction. People look forward to this on an annual basis.”
Two more food truck nights this year: Aug. 21 and Aug. 28 at 380 Castle Creek Drive in Seven Fields.
