Knoch boys golf beat New Castle 225-235 Friday afternoon at Sylvan Heights Golf Course to improve to 1-1 on the season. Jeremy Scheidt led the Knights with a low round of 5-over 41. Rounding out Knoch’s scores were Aaron Voltz (42), Jacob Jones (45), Rocco DeLeonardis (48) and Ben Farraro (48).

Butler dropped a 186-191 match against North Allegheny at North Park Golf Course. The Golden Tornado (0-3 section) were led by Anthony Trombatt, whose 34 was the low round of the day. Jase Renwick (38) and Boden Lenyk (39) were other notable Butler scores. Preston Troiano and Chris Hoffman shot 36 each for NA.
