Police release details related to Fisher Road hit-and-run
State police are searching for a dark red or maroon Jeep SUV that may have been involved in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday night, Aug. 14, on Fisher Road in Jefferson Township.
Police said a female victim reported being hit by a vehicle at around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday while walking north on Fisher Road, and the woman said the vehicle continued north after striking her.
The woman told police the vehicle may have been a dark red Jeep SUV with stickers on the right side of its rear window, as well as a sparkly license plate cover. The vehicle may have had damage to its passenger side mirror, police said.
Police said the woman was transported to a hospital to be treated for injuries.
