Joanie and John Boozel Sr.

John and Joanie Boozel Sr., of Forward Township, celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner on Aug. 8, 2024, at Anna Marie's Winery & Cafe in East Butler.

Boozel married the former Joanie Lang on Aug. 8, 1964, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Butler.

They are the parents of three children, John Boozel II of Butler, the late Joni Boozel, and Jamie Boozel of New Braunfels, Texas.

The Boozels also have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Boozel is a retired crane operator from Armco Steel.

Mrs. Boozel is a homemaker.

The Boozels are members of All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Catholic Church, in Meridian.
