The wait is over for Harmony and Zelienople residents as grocery chain Aldi announced that its new Harmony location at 236 Perry Highway will have its grand opening on Thursday, Aug. 29.

Jackson Township supervisors gave the final approval to Aldi in September, and after nearly a year the store is near completion.

Locals can experience the store for themselves when the new Harmony store opens at 8:45 a.m. on Aug. 29.

To celebrate, the first 100 customers will receive a gift bag filled with a sampling of Aldi products and a gift card as part of the Aldi Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program.

Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes during the grand opening weekend Aug. 29 through Sept. 1 for a chance to win a $500 Aldi gift card.

The store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
