The Butler Township Police Department received several reports of someone entering and taking items from unlocked vehicles overnight in the area of Highfield Road.

The department is encouraging residents in the area of Highfield Road to check their home surveillance systems for any suspicious activity.

Police believe the thefts took place between 2 and 4 a.m. Friday, Aug.16.
