More than 50 people traversed a scenic 1.5-mile course Saturday, Aug. 17, in Harmony that included a portion of the historic Harmony Trail, but by the end of the fun run, the participants were as colorful as the scenery.

Saturday was the first ever Family Color Blast Fun Run/Walk in Harmony, which raised money that will go toward replacing and refurbishing playground equipment at the Harmony Borough building.

While the event raised money for new equipment, participants in the run and walk made their own fun on the course as they were showered from head to toe in a vibrant array of colored powder.
