Phyllis Minich, 78, of Butler, passed away on Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, at Butler Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness.

Born Feb. 12, 1946, in Butler, she was the daughter of Janet E. Miller of Butler.

Phyllis graduated from Butler High School in 1964. She drove a school bus for several years and excelled as a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed baking and spent many hours making mints and cookies for weddings. Phyllis also enjoyed camping near Lake Erie during the summer. She will be remembered for her love of Christmas and specialized in crafting unique ornaments and decorations.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, William Minich of Butler, whom she married Nov. 28, 1964, at Trinity Lutheran Church; her daughter, Eileen (Gary) Tuck of Butler; son, Brian (Elizabeth Holmen) Minich of Baltimore, Md.; granddaughter, Courteney (Aaron) Taylor of Bridgeport, W.Va.; and grandsons Ryan Tuck of Butler and Eric Tuck of Sarasota, Fla. She also had one great-granddaughter, Peyton Taylor of Bridgeport, W.Va.

MINICH — All services for Phyllis Minich, who died Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, were held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
