Donald E. Seybert, 72, of Karns City, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2024, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born July 16, 1952, he was the son of Gloria M. (Greenawalt) Seybert Moore.

On Feb. 28, 1970, Don married the former Barbara J. Furl, she survives.

For many years, Don drove for George Toth Trucking in Hilliards.

Don enjoyed hunting, raising beagles and coon dogs and doing mechanic and auto body work. He was passionate about American chestnut tree conservation and was always a bit of a jokester. He enjoyed playing Santa for kids. He was a caring spirit who loved and adored his family. He would drop anything to help his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara J. Seybert of Karns City; one daughter, Barbara “Babs” Bellotti of San Diego; and one son, Donald “Donny” Seybert and wife, Sheryl, of Grove City.

He is also survived by two granddaughters, Kiersten Bellotti and Breanna Seybert; two grandsons, Grant Bellotti and Christopher Seybert; one brother, Chester (Jackie) Seybert of Karns City; and one sister, Lori (Scott) Myers of Rimersburg.

Don was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Anna Greenawalt, who raised him; his mother; and one son, Christopher Seybert.

SEYBERT — A celebration of life for Donald E. Seybert, who died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2024, will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faith Way, Fared Drive, Butler, with the Rev. Richard Jenks officiating.

Don will be buried in Bradys Bend Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of BUECHELE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, East Brady.

The Seybert family asks that memorials be made in Don’s name to the American Chestnut Foundation, 50 N. Merrimon Ave, Suite 115, Asheville, NC 28804.
