Middlesex Crossing may gain townhomes
Property developers NWPA Property Development have signaled their intention to build 64 townhouses at the Middlesex Crossing development on Route 8 in Middlesex Township.
The matter was discussed at a public hearing during the supervisors meeting Wednesday evening, Aug. 21. The board will take action on the matter during their meeting next month.
“I'll be working with the township solicitor to draft up findings of fact and a summary of the public hearings,” said township manager Jeffrey Winkle. “Once we draft that, we'll draft a resolution for the board.”
The parcel of land that NWPA wants to build on consists of 8.218 acres and is located on an empty parcel within the Middlesex Crossing development, which already features an American Natural convenience store with gas station and a strip mall.
While “masterplan approval” had already been granted to use the parcel for retail purposes, the developer is seeking a conditional use permit to change the use to residential.
