Country music artist Phil Vassar will perform at 8 p.m. Oct. 3 at Jergel's Rhythm Grille, 103 Slade Lane, Warrendale. Vassar has had 10 No. 1 singles and 27 Top 40 hits, including “Carlene,” “Just Another Day in Paradise,” “Six-Pack Summer,” “When I Love You” and many more.

The Hits and Heroes tour offers a blend of intimacy and energy reminiscent of Phil's early days, featuring his own hits as well as covers of songs by his musical influences, according to a news release from Vassar’s publicist.

Recognized as the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers’ Country Songwriter of the Year in 1999 and 2001, Vassar’s success extended beyond his solo recording career. He has had nine albums, two ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Trophies, and he has earned accolades such as the Academy of Country Music’s Top New Male Vocalist, all while delighting audiences with sold-out shows nationwide.
