The 2024 PIAA football season kicks off tonight across Butler County, with nine games stretching from Fairview to Orlando, Florida (see: Mars Fightin’ Planets).
Which teams will start the season 1-0, and which will be left with work to do to get that first win? We’re about to find out.

Mars will have to wait about 14 more hours for its season to begin. Friday night’s game in Orlando, Fla., against Boone High was postponed to 9:30 a.m. Saturday due to weather, according to the team’s social media account.
Lightning delayed the start of the game at 7 p.m., and at 8 p.m. the team posted on social media the game was postponed.
