Edwards

Robert C. Edwards, 83, of Liberty Township, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

He was born in Butler on April 26, 1941, to parents Harry and Roberta (Easley) Edwards, both of whom preceded him in death.

Bob was a 1959 graduate of East Brady High School and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Penn State. He worked at Armco/AK Steel as an electrical engineer, retiring after 45 years of service. Bob was an active member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, where he served as church council president, lector and bingo caller, and was instrumental in the establishment of the Parish Center.

In his spare time, Bob enjoyed traveling, playing golf and doing puzzles. He enjoyed playing with the Kittanning Band and Armco Band and maintained his love of music. He was an avid sports fan, keeping true to his Pennsylvania roots by remaining a steadfast fan of the Pirates, Steelers and Penn State football. Most of all, he enjoyed cheering on his grandchildren in their sporting events.
