The Butler County Community College (BC3) girls volleyball team shut down Erie Community College in three sets on Saturday, then used four games to get past Lakeland Community College.

In the former match, Lexi Ruckdeschel had seven kills and five blocks, Nina Szymanski had 15 digs and Anora Robare totaled 15 assists. The Pioneers (3-0) swept the sets by scores of 25-8, 25-9 and 25-16.

BC3 downed Lakeland by scores of 14-25, 25-19, 25-13 and 29-27. Robare had 19 assists in that one, while Ruckdeschel had 13 kills and Szymanski 26 digs.

The Pioneers next play on Thursday at Penn Highland Community College.
