Lawrence James “Jamie” Bauer IV, 35, of Slippery Rock (West Liberty Borough) passed away suddenly at his residence on Friday, Aug. 23, 2024, due to natural causes. Jamie was born in Clarion, Pa., on March 21, 1989. He graduated from North Clarion High School. Jamie married Brandy Sue Webb on June 18, 2022.

He formerly served as a recruiter for the Civil Air Patrol and later did volunteer work at West Liberty United Methodist Church; St. Michael’s Church in Fryburg, Pa.; and St. Joseph’s Church in Lucinda, Pa. Jamie loved people and was an avid sports fan. He loved Pittsburgh sports, particularly the Steelers; demolition derbies; lawn mower racing; rodeos; and traveling. “Jamie never met a stranger.” “He was very loved.”

Survivors include his wife, Brandy at home; mother, Sherri Hornberger Bauer of Clermont, Fla.; father, Lawrence James Bauer III and wife, Susan, of Marble, Pa.; sister, Meranda (Rob) Kirkner of Clermont, Fla.; brother, Ezekiel (Arielle) Bauer of Royersford, Pa.; two stepsons, Levi Webb and Logan (Haley) Webb; stepdaughter, Shyanne Webb; two stepsiblings, Nick Steighner and Andrea Gardner; maternal and paternal grandparents; three nieces; one nephew; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary “Cookie” Bauer.

BAUER — A public visitation for Lawrence James “Jamie” Bauer IV, who died Friday, Aug. 23, 2024, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Thursday at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.

A celebration of life and faith service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
