Mark A. Schall

Schall

Mark A. Schall, 74, passed away suddenly at UPMC Passavant North Hills Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024. Born April 18, 1950, in Pittsburgh, he was the son to the late George A. and Agnes R. Schall.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Marlene A. Schall and their children, Michael (Jill) Schall of Bethel Park, Pa., Meghan Schall (Russ) of Chandler, Ariz., Morgan Schall of Columbus, Ohio, and Mitchell Schall of Manchester, Ind.; and his grandson, Cooper Schall, who referred to him as “Pap.” He is also survived by his brother, George “Chip” Schall of Bethel Park.

Mark was a resident of Cranberry Township and a 1969 graduate of North Hills High School. Mark spent 45 years in the elevator industry, retiring from Marshall Elevator after many “ups and downs.” An avid outdoorsman, Mark enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mark will be remembered for his many years of volunteering throughout various youth sports programs. He took pride in putting thousands of miles on his truck, driving to his children’s and grandson’s sporting events. He was the loudest voice in the stands. Post retirement, he actively served the community volunteering at Marshall Township Volunteer Fire Department.
