Born Dec. 21, 1950, in Natrona Heights, he was the sixth child of Richard F. Babinsack and Blanche (Booher) Babinsack Baughman.

Philip graduated from Freeport Senior High School with the Class of 1970.

Throughout his career he worked at Montgomery Lumber, Allegheny and Freeport Brick, and Woodings Consolidated Industry.

Boxer was a member of Lighthouse Fellowship Church, where he enjoyed Soup Sunday and sharing his famous chili. He enjoyed ice-skating, swimming, croquet and archery.

Boxer met the love of his life, Tina Kim Rowan, at age 12, and they enjoyed 55 years of marriage together.

Boxer is survived by his wife, Tina Kim (Rowan) Babinsack; and his four daughters, Lisa (Mike) Cox of Ford City, Wendy (Kurt) Fischer of Freeport, Philana (Steve) Samms of Moon Township and Amanda (Dale) Heeter of Buffalo Township. Boxer also was blessed with 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He also is survived by his siblings, Glenn Babinsack, Janice Gaydos and David (Roxanne) Babinsack; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
