Carol Ann Brown, 63, of New Kensington, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at Allegheny Valley Hospital.

She was born in New Kensington on Nov. 14, 1960, to the late William P. Jr. and Genevieve Claire Petit Brown. She was a lifelong resident of New Kensington.

Carol was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, where she was a member of the Resurrection Choir and a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She worked for Service Electric from 1979 to 2014. She was also a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Pennsylvania Associates, and enjoyed watching TV, doing sudoku and jigsaw puzzles and talking on the phone.

She is survived by her brother, William P. (Justine) Brown of Butler; sister, Patricia C. (Danny) Whaley of Sevierville, Tenn.; nieces, Maria (Jose) Cosme, Catie Brown and Danielle Whaley and her fiancé, Sumner Gilliam, of Philadelphia; great-nephews, Liam and Callum Cosme; brother-in-law, Craig Noland of Knoxville, Tenn.; and close friend, Regina Tocco of New Kensington.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jane Noland; and brother, Robert Eugene Brown.

The family would like to thank Gina Tocco and Select Specialty Care in Natrona Heights for their wonderful care of their sister.

BROWN — Friends of Carol Ann Brown, who died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street, Lower Burrell, where prayers of transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

A Christian funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 1125 Leishman Ave., New Kensington. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in her name to Sisters of St. Joseph, 1020 State St., Baden, PA 15005.
