Mike Carroll, secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, completed his goal of becoming the first PennDOT secretary to visit employees in all 67 Pennsylvania counties when he visited both Lackawanna and Luzerne counties in northeast Pennsylvania on Tuesday, Aug. 27.

Carroll visited employees in Butler County in October 2023, as part of his goal to promote Gov. Josh Shapiro’s commitment to serve the entire state.

Also on Tuesday, Carroll promoted Shapiro’s 2024-25 budget, which allocates $80.5 million in funding to repair the state’s roads and bridges.
