State police open hiring cycle for new troopers

The state police have opened up a new hiring cycle in search of prospective new state troopers.

Applications should be submitted through Pennsylvania’s employment website by Nov. 27. All applicants must have at least a high school diploma or GED certificate and a valid driver’s license from any state. They must also be at least 20 years old upon application, and must be between 21 and 40 years of age upon entering the training academy.

One thing applicants don’t need to worry about anymore is the requirement of 60 college credits, which was ended by PSP last year in an effort to attract more applicants.
