Police Reports

The following items were collected from various police departments.

State police, Butler

July 31 — James W. Yoder, 47, of Hilliards, was charged with one misdemeanor count of making a false statement related to an attempted gun purchase on Oct. 6, 2023, from Dunham’s Sports in Center Township. Police said Yoder failed to accurately disclose his criminal history.

July 30 — Timothy R. Flick, 46, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor resisting arrest related to a July 13 domestic incident on Chestnut Drive in Center Township. Police said Flick pulled away from officers, screamed at them and tried to kick them.

July 30 — Michael C. Moses, 31, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor counts of simple assault and harassment related to a July 30 domestic incident on Rolling Valley Lane in Connoquenessing Township. Police said Moses pepper sprayed his brother in the face during an argument.

July 30 — Michael N. Rutt, 34, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of DUI related to a traffic stop in the parking lot of the Chicora Car Wash in Chicora. Police said field sobriety tests showed Rutt was impaired and a later blood test showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.254%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.

July 30 — Demetrius L. Stephens, 23, of Butler, was charged with three misdemeanor counts of DUI and one misdemeanor count of leaving a traffic lane related to a May 26 traffic stop on North Main Street Extension in Center Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed Stephens was impaired and a later blood test showed his blood alcohol-content at 0.104%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit. Police said marijuana also was shown in his blood.

July 30 — Evan T. Dabill, 26, of Bridgeport, Pa., was charged with one felony and misdemeanor count of making a false statement related to an attempted gun purchase on Oct. 22, 2023, from Petronio Family Firearms in Summit Township. Police said Dabill failed to accurately disclose his criminal history.

July 29 — Leah A. Min, 42, of Washington, D.C., was charged with misdemeanor counts of defiant trespassing and marijuana possession related to a July 26 incident on Currie Road in Worth Township. Police said Min refused to buy a pass to the Renaissance Fair and refused to leave. Police said that during her arrest, they found THC gummies and marijuana cigarettes.

July 29 — Kasey L. Shondeck, 22, of Kittanning, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of DUI related to a May 6 single-vehicle crash on Olcus Lane in Fairview Township. Police said an ambulance took Shondeck to the hospital, where a later blood test showed her blood-alcohol content at 0.182%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.

July 29 — Michael J. Ross Jr., 35, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of DUI related to a June 7 single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Summit Township. Police said Ross was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital, where a later blood test showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.209%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.

July 29 — Marc A. Steele, 33, of Harrisville, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of DUI related to a July 3 two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Clay Street and West Sunbury Road in West Sunbury. Police said field sobriety tests showed Steele was impaired and a later blood test showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.100%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.

Zelienople Police

Aug. 5 — Leanna J. Bussard, 35, of Zelienople, was charged with felony terroristic threats and misdemeanor simple assault related to an Aug. 4 domestic incident on Oakdale Drive. Police said Bussard threatened her sister with a knife during an argument.
