Air Quality Orange

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection issued a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day forecast for Ozone for today, Aug. 30, in the Pittsburgh area, including Butler County. The affected area includes Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland counties.

AirNow.gov suggests that children and teens, older adults, people with lung disease and people who are routinely active outdoors for six or more hours a day should reduce their exposure by choosing less strenuous activities or shortening active outdoor time.
