Slippery Rock University's Bachelor of Science in civil engineering and Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering programs have been accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

ABET is a global accreditor of college and university programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering and engineering technology.

It accredits programs following a voluntary peer-review process designed to add value to academic programs in the technical disciplines such as quality, precision and safety.
