William H. Watson Jr., 95, of Butler, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024.

He was born in Butler on Nov. 15, 1928, to the late William Sr. and Jessie (Black) Watson.

William honorably served in the U.S. Army. He was employed at Magnetics for 40 years. William loved collecting trains and traveling; he traveled to Australia, Canada, around Europe and to many different states.

He is forever loved by his partner of 24 years, Ida Cooper. He was the grandfather of Marissa and Rachel Watson; and great-grandfather to one great-granddaughter.

Along with his parents, William was preceded in death by his late wife, Dorothy (Black) Watson; and his son, Jefferey Watson, who passed away in 2018.

WATSON — Family and friends of William H. Watson Jr., who died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A prayer service will immediately follow. Burial will be held privately.
