My husband and I spent the afternoon walking around the downtown Main Street area, enjoying today's Taste of Italy Crawl. It was so nice to see so many people out supporting local businesses, and so many families enjoying the event.

We got to watch the Steelers game at the Penn Theater, shop many local businesses and get to know the local business owners. Many thanks to the owners of Totalus for organizing the event, and all of the businesses that participated.

Seeing so many people downtown and feeling that friendly vibe reminded me of spending Saturday's shopping on Main Street when I was a child.

I hope the event returns every year, and the Butler Downtown organization continues to have more family-friendly events like this.
