It's been over four months since the flood closed the Main Street post office in Renfrew. The Butler post office has limited hours for picking up our mail. Every visit to Butler's post office has been met with a reopen date that comes and goes.

Now imagine being in first grade. My first grader came home from school and said every other student in his class had a letter and surprise from teacher Mrs. Wahl. His name badge and welcome letter were not retrievable until after the first week of school. How disappointing. After being displaced as a family for over three weeks in April/May, it breaks my heart to know that this flood and closure is still affecting family.

Why wasn't a temporary mailbox installed for residents? What is the new open date? Will it actually happen?
