CONNOQUENESSING TWP — The Connoquenessing Township Sewer Authority’s agendas and minutes will be posted to Connoquenessing Township’s website from now on, it was announced during a meeting of supervisors on Wednesday evening, Sept. 4.

Supervisors explained the move would make the township’s website, www.connotwp.org, a “one-stop shop” for information on the township.

“I think it would be easier on the residents as a whole if our website had a link for the supervisors and a link for the planning commission and a link for the (sewer authority),” said Supervisor Angela Fleeger. “And that’s a one-stop shop for residents.”

The sewer authority, which is a separate entity from the township, at one point had its own website, connotwp-ctsa.org. However, accessing the site now yields only a page with the words “Application Down For Maintenance.”

Even before the site vanished, the people maintaining it had trouble updating it with new information, which caused frustration for at least one resident who brought up the issue repeatedly at township meetings.

“There were previously some issues with being able to get the agendas posted timely,” Fleeger said. “So as a township, we felt that it was best for residents to allow them to be able to post agendas and minutes as more of a one-stop shop on our township website.”

The Connoquenessing Township Sewer Authority was formed in 2019 with the goal of implementing a workable public sewage plan for the township, as required by the state.
