William ‘Bill’ Venesky

William A. “Mr. Bill” Venesky, 79, of Cabot, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024, at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital.

Born May 4, 1945, in New Kensington, he was the son of Zigmond S. Venesky and Anna M. Polesky Venesky.

Bill worked as an electrician/mechanic for Penn-Allegheny Coal. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish (Transfiguration) in Russellton, and the United Mine Workers. He enjoyed woodworking, electronics, computers, hunting, fishing and camping and loved going to the movies with his wife. Mr. Bill was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda J. (Miller) Venesky, whom he married June 19, 1965; four sons, Greg (Rebecca) Venesky of Cabot, Joe (Charlene) Venesky of Boyers, Mike (Heather) Venesky of Cabot and Jamie (Michelle) Venesky of Butler; his sister, Kathleen (Dennis) Zibreg of New Kensington; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Zigmond Venesky and Anthony Venesky; and two sisters, Maryann Shaffer and Irene Long.

VENESKY — Friends of William A. “Mr. Bill” Venesky, who died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

A blessing service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Father James Kurtz officiating.

Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
