James William Foster, 94, of Valencia, passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024, at Cranberry Place in Cranberry Township.

Born on Aug. 2, 1930, he was the son of the late Wade and Marjorie Kepple Foster.

Jim served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was retired from a lifelong career as a mason. He was an avid Steelers fan and loved riding his tractor mowing lawns.

Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Louise Burchick Foster; three daughters, Sherry Harbison (Arthur, deceased) of Austin, Texas, Terry Foster of Mars and Robin Lawrence (Jim, deceased) of Valencia; and a son, James “Rick” Foster (Lisa) of Mars.

Jim was the beloved “Pap” to Ken (Lori), Yarda (Tony), Stacy (Matt), Sara (Van), Renee, Justin and Lindsay; and great-grandfather to Seth, Jack, Jonathan, Jocelyn, Samantha, Ashley, Rebecca, Chance and Jayke.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Kenneth and Raymond; and one sister, Georgetta Burk.

The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff at Cranberry Place who loved and cared for Jim during his stay. They truly are God’s angels.
