BUTLER TWP — One person was injured as a result of a fire at a home on Dubbs Lane in Butler Township on Sunday evening, Sept. 8.

The fire was reported shortly before 6:15 p.m., and led to police closing traffic on the adjoining Mercer Road. According to Michael Schmidt, assistant fire chief of the Butler Township Volunteer Fire Department, the damage to the home was mostly contained to one room, and firefighters had the blaze under control in 15 minutes.
