Mantzaris

Peter Mantzaris, 85, of Butler, passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, at Concordia at the Orchard.

Born July 24, 1939, in Ambridge, Pa., he was a son of the late Stathi and Hilda Kopp Mantzaris.

Peter retired from Butler Area School District where he taught at Butler High School.

He enjoyed antiques, traveling and teaching. He was well liked by his students, who felt he made a difference in their lives.

Surviving is his brother, George Mantzaris; his sister, Jenny Lunak; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Christine Skiles, Catherine Strychor, Irene Wisneski, Richard Buck and Patricia Mantzaris.

MANTZARIS — There will be no visitation for Peter Mantzaris, who died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024.

Burial will be held privately.
