The 13-member task force chaired by U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, R-16th, has sent a letter to Pennsylvania State Police requesting all documentation and communication related to their handling of the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump at the Butler Farm Show grounds July 13.

The task force has set a deadline of Monday, Sept. 16 for state police to produce 12 items, including all bodycam footage, recordings, internal inquiries, criminal inquiries, any emails or chat messages involving PSP personnel, and operational plans the PSP had for the rally where the attempted assassination occurred.

In August, the task force requested information from other government agencies such as the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Secret Service. Last week, it did the same for multiple local police departments, as well as the coroner’s offices of both Butler and Allegheny County.

The task force is one of several bodies investigating the assassination attempt, which left one spectator dead and two others injured before the shooter was gunned down by a counter-sniper. The task force has a deadline of Dec. 13 to submit a final report on its findings.
