SV students recognize 9/11 with Wednesday morning ceremony

The Seneca Valley JROTC cadets participated in a ceremony Wednesday, Sept. 11, commemorating the anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, when nearly 3,000 people were killed in a terrorist attack.

The morning ceremony took place in front of the flagpole of the Senior High School. “Taps” were played and the flag was lowered to half-staff where it will remain for the rest of the school day.

On September 11, 2001. Two planes crashed into the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers in New York. Another plane crashed into the Pentagon, and yet another crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pa.
