An investigation is underway after a man died of an apparent gunshot wound Wednesday, Sept. 11 at the Evans City Sportsman Club, according to state police.

No foul play is suspected, but the investigation remains active, Trooper Bertha Cazy said in a news release Thursday.

State police arrived at the Jackson Township sportsman’s club at around 8:16 p.m. where the man was found dead.

Cazy declined to identify the man, but more information will be released as it becomes available, she said.

The coroner was not immediately available for comment.
