Roger Dean Caudill, 88, of Mars, passed away in the comfort of his home with his family at his side on Wednesday morning, Sept. 11, 2024.

Born in Squire, W.Va., on Jan. 20, 1936, he was the son of the late Henry Ray and Victoria Peery Caudill.

He had served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Roger had been an over, short and damaged clerk for Bell Lines, Smith Transfer and finally PJAX Trucking.

He had attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Valencia.

Surviving are his daughters, Julie Moody (Bill) of Mars and Betty Davidson (Brian Lander) of Mercer; his sons, Roger Caudill Jr. (Jill) of Slippery Rock and Michael Caudill (Mary) of Mars; his grandchildren, Christine, Heather, Melissa (George), Michael, Matt (Lacey) and Haley (Cody); his great-grandchildren, Amayah, Maddie, McKenna, Georgie, Lea, Kylie, Johnny, Dean, Anna and Rowan; and a sister, Hilda Garner.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Lou McBride Caudill, whom he married on April 3, 1959, and who died on Oct. 17, 2022; and by his siblings, Arzetta Wareham and Donald and Billy Caudill.

CAUDILL — Friends of Roger Dean Caudill, who died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Lawther officiating. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park.
