Winfield Township’s office now is open by appointment only for the foreseeable future.

According to township supervisor Matthew Klabnik, the change is due largely to the fact that the township secretary/treasurer has taken another full-time job and therefore is working for the township part time until a replacement is found. This means no one is working in the building during the day.

The township is seeking a secretary/treasurer, as well as a roadmaster. The former roadmaster also recently departed for another job.
