Cranberry Township will begin taking volunteer applications for its annual Leaf Angels program beginning Sept. 30.

The program is designed to match regional volunteers with residents in the 16066 ZIP code who are unable to rake and collect leaves during leaf collection season.

Applications for requests will open up Oct. 14. The program is scheduled to run Nov. 1 until the end of the yard waste collection season. All yards must be located in Cranberry Township.

All volunteers must be at least 15 years old or accompanied by a parent or guardian and bring their own rakes, gloves and leaf bags. Participants must complete, sign and submit a liability waiver and a photography use agreement before a volunteer match can be made.
