Harmony Fire District called to Log Cabin Inn; no damage reported
LANCASTER TWP — The Harmony Fire District responded to a call regarding smoke in the basement of the Log Cabin Inn on Perry Highway on Thursday, Sept. 12.
Firefighters arrived on scene and ran a fire hose to the basement to quickly quell the situation.
The smoke started when a patron accidentally tossed a cigarette butt that slipped through the cracks in the mulch into the basement, according to Harmony Fire District Chief Scott Garing.
The restaurant’s staff and patrons safely evacuated to the parking lot. There was no structural damage to the building.
